Prices include everything, with nothing added at checkout. No VAT will be added to these prices. Each server renews automatically until you cancel, in one step in HQ, and we email you before each renewal. Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Founder offer: 10% off your first 12 months (on your first server only, for the first 200 accounts that pay, one per person; closes at 200 or on 31 March 2027). 72-hour full refund on your first purchase (one per customer). A thread is half of a processor core; bursts use idle processor time on the machine, so they aren’t guaranteed.

Backups to go back to

Turning crossplay on or off changes whether mods load. If it goes wrong, restore an hourly backup from Automatic backups.

On every Exclsv server

Undo and the BinUndo this change takes back one settings save, and a roll-back can be undone too. Deleted files wait in the Bin for 7 days.

How players join

PC, Xbox and PS5 players can play together with crossplay on. They join with a join code instead of the address. Crossplay turns BepInEx mods off.

Mods and loaders

Pick mods or a Thunderstore modpack in HQ and it switches the server to BepInEx. Mods only load with crossplay off.

HQ stops the server, writes the file, checks it and starts it again. Each save can be undone on its own with Undo this change.

Valheim dedicated server: run it yourself or rent it?

Running it yourself

  • The computer running the server has to stay on, and online, whenever anyone wants to play.
  • Friends outside your home usually need ports opened on your router, and most home broadband addresses can change.
  • The server shares your computer’s memory, processor and upload speed with everything else you run on it.
  • Game updates, backups and fixing it when it won’t start are up to you.

  • Hourly backups kept for up to 48 hours, and encrypted off-site backups every 6 hours with 7 daily copies kept.

Good to know before you buy

What Valheim on Exclsv can’t do, or does differently.

  • Crossplay turns BepInEx mods off, so modded servers are for PC players only.
  • Every plan has 10 slots, because that is Valheim’s player limit without mods.
  • Turning crossplay on for a modded world can lose modded items. Restore an hourly backup if you need them back.

Questions about Valheim servers

Can I run a Valheim server that stays up when I’m offline?

Yes. That’s what a hosted server is for: the world runs whether or not anyone is playing.

Can Xbox and PS5 players join?

Yes, with crossplay on. They join with the join code shown in HQ. Crossplay turns mods off.

Why isn’t my server showing a join code?

The join code only exists with crossplay on. Turn it on in HQ’s server settings, and the code appears on your server’s Connect page.

Can I use mods?

Yes, on PC with crossplay off. Mods come from Thunderstore and run on BepInEx; the Modded plan has room for big packs.

Why does every plan have 10 slots?

Valheim allows 10 players without mods, so the plans differ by memory: vanilla, small mod packs and big BepInEx packs.

Can I bring my world from my own PC?

Yes. Upload it as a .zip in HQ under Backups, Bring your world, and HQ takes a backup first. Bigger worlds can go over SFTP.
