If a game update breaks your server

Updates install automatically as soon as they’re out (or at your chosen time), with a backup first and one-click undo. If an update goes wrong, you can go back.
A backup before every update
Before an update, HQ takes a backup named after the build it’s updating to, and keeps it for 7 days.
Undo update
If the server doesn’t start after an update, your server’s page offers Undo update. It brings the old build and the world back.
On games that check versions, players whose game has already updated can’t join an older build after an undo.
Modded servers
When Oxide, Carbon or BepInEx is behind a new game build, the server updates and starts with plugins switched off; they come back on by themselves. You can choose to wait for the framework instead, for up to 6 hours.
If it doesn’t work
I undid an update and now friends can’t join
Their game has updated and the server is on the older build. Once the server works on the new build, update it again from Settings, Updates.
