Don’t Starve Together server guide: join, mods, settings and fixes

Everything you need to run your Don’t Starve Together server in HQ, in one page.
Join
- Choose Browse Games.
- Search for your server’s name (tick Show Password-Protected if you set one).
- Choose Join and enter the password.
PlayStation players can’t join PC servers.
Mods
Workshop mods: the server downloads the ones listed in its mod setup file itself. Edit it with Files. Players download the server’s mods when they join.
Settings
Open Settings, then Game settings. Each setting has a plain label, one line of help and the game’s own default where HQ knows it. Most changes take effect at the next restart; HQ marks the ones that change straight away. The server needs your Klei server token: make one at accounts.klei.com and paste it in Settings.
Backups and going back
To go back, open Backups, then Automatic, pick a time from the last 48 hours and choose Go back. Your world as it is now is kept, so you can undo it.
If it doesn’t work
It isn’t in Browse Games
The server needs a valid Klei server token. Add it in Settings, then restart.
Stuck going into the Caves
The Caves must be on and finished starting. Restart the server; if it keeps happening, turn Caves off and on again.
