Run an Unturned server: maps, Workshop mods, admins and fixes

Everything you need to run your Unturned server in HQ, in one page.
Set it up
In Settings, pick the Map, Difficulty, PvE and Camera, and add your 17-digit Owner’s Steam ID to be the server’s admin. Restart to apply. HQ makes the server’s Steam login token for you.
Join
- Choose Play, then Servers.
- Search for your server’s name, or choose Connect and type the address and port from your server’s Join page.
- Type the password if it has one.
Workshop maps and mods
Open Servers/Exclsv/WorkshopDownloadConfig.json with Files and add each Workshop item’s ID to File_IDs, separated by commas. The server downloads them on its next start; players get them when they join. For a Workshop map, also set Map to its name.
RocketMod plugins
Turn on RocketMod plugins in Settings, restart once, then put plugin files in Servers/Exclsv/Rocket/Plugins and restart again.
Smartly Dressed Games’ rules
Servers may not sell vanilla premium content, such as Gold benefits or official skins. Read the server hosting rules at docs.smartlydressedgames.com.
Backups and going back
HQ takes an hourly backup (Automatic backups) and keeps each for up to 48 hours, plus an off-site backup every 6 hours with 7 daily copies. To go back, open Backups, then Automatic backups, pick a time and choose Go back.
If it doesn’t work
It isn’t in the server list
New servers take a few minutes to appear. Meanwhile, use Connect with the address and port.
A Workshop map won’t load
Check its ID is in WorkshopDownloadConfig.json and that Map matches the map’s name exactly, then restart.
