Conan Exiles server guide: join, admins, settings and fixes

Everything you need to run your Conan Exiles server in HQ, in one page.

Join

1. In Conan Exiles, choose Play Online.
2. Turn off the Official filter and search for your server’s name.
3. Enter the password if you set one.

Or use Direct Connect with the address and port on your server’s Join page.

Admins

Open the game’s console and type MakeMeAdmin followed by the admin password from Settings, Server. That opens the admin panel.

Mods

Enhanced servers load only mods built for Enhanced. For now, upload each mod’s .pak to ConanSandbox/Mods in the file manager and list them, one per line, in modlist.txt there, then restart. Players need the same mods.

Settings

Open Settings, then Game settings. Each setting has a plain label, one line of help and the game’s own default where HQ knows it. Most changes take effect at the next restart.

Conan Exiles writes its settings back when it stops, so HQ only changes ServerSettings.ini while the server is stopped.

Bring a Legacy world

Stop the server, upload your game.db into ConanSandbox/Saved, make sure there’s no game_0.db there, and start it: the server converts the world.

Backups and going back

HQ takes an hourly backup (Automatic backups) and keeps each for up to 48 hours, plus an off-site backup every 6 hours with 7 daily copies. To go back, open Backups, then Automatic backups, pick a time and choose Go back. Your world as it is now is kept, so you can undo it.
