Arma Reforger server guide: join, mods, settings and fixes

Everything you need to run your Arma Reforger server in HQ, in one page.
Join
- Choose Multiplayer, then the Community tab.
- Search for your server’s name.
- Choose Join and enter the password.
On PC you can also use Direct Join with the address from your server’s Join page (under Overview). Xbox and PS5 players need crossplay on.
Mods
Mods come from Bohemia’s own Workshop: list them in the server’s config.json with Files and the server downloads them when it starts. Players download them when they join.
Settings
Open Settings, then Game settings. Each setting has a plain label, one line of help and the game’s own default where HQ knows it. Most changes take effect at the next restart; HQ marks the ones that change straight away. Crossplay is under Game settings, Server. With crossplay on, every mod must also be available on console.
Backups and going back
To go back, open Backups, then Automatic, pick a time from the last 48 hours and choose Go back. Your world as it is now is kept, so you can undo it.
If it doesn’t work
Console players can’t see the server
Turn crossplay on, and remove any mod that isn’t available on console.
“Version mismatch”
Everyone needs the same game version as the server. HQ updates it when Bohemia releases one.
The scenario doesn’t load
The scenario ID doesn’t match an installed scenario. Pick one from the list the console prints at start.
